Mission and Success

Our Mission

At the NY Birth Control Action Fund, our mission is to develop a playbook to revolutionize access to birth control. We spearhead initiatives to take action on progressive policies and then focus on effective implementation. With a deep commitment to equity and justice, we strive to break down barriers to contraceptive access, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their reproductive futures.

Our Success

Through our tireless advocacy efforts, we have achieved significant milestones in our pursuit of Reproductive Justice and equity. We have witnessed tangible improvements in contraceptive access, with more individuals gaining access to affordable birth control options. Our collaborative work with lawmakers and community partners has resulted in the enactment of key policies that protect and expand reproductive rights. Moreover, our engagement strategies have ignited a powerful grassroots movement, amplifying the voices of those most affected by reproductive health disparities. While there is still much work to be done, our accomplishments serve as a testament to the resilience and dedication of our team and supporters in the fight for Reproductive Justice.

About Us

Established in 2019, the NY Birth Control Action Fund emerged from a collective passion for social change and reproductive rights. Since our inception, we have dedicated ourselves to advancing comprehensive reproductive health initiatives throughout New York state. Our multifaceted approach involves advocacy, education and coalition-building to create lasting impact. We have successfully raised awareness about the availability of an extended supply of contraceptives, advocated for the passage of critical legislation, such as the Birth Control Access Act and mobilized a diverse array of stakeholders, especially powerful young activists, to champion Reproductive Justice within our communities.
